Matt is a leadership consultant helping organizations and communities deepen their presence in the world. His work helps guide people to think differently and see new possibilities. He helps clients tackle important systemic challenges and reach the critical breakthroughs that will allow them to be stronger leaders, effective collaborators and more compassionate communicators. Matt integrates conflict restoration, nonviolent communication, authentic presence and personal accountability in his work with teams and individuals to help them understand the human elements that affect an organization’s performance.
As a facilitator and consultant, Matt has worked across multiple industry sectors, with a focus on nonprofit and faith-based clients, and has led strategic planning, leadership, and conflict resolution work for some of Portland’s important community-based non-profits. Matt holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College and an M.B.A. from the University of Portland. He has a deep commitment to service and improving the social and business landscape in the Northwest. Matt volunteers for spiritual care ministries in end-of-life care and homelessness, in addition to serving as a board member to non-profit organizations. Matt also holds a faculty position at The University of Portland where he teaches within the Theology Department.
